It’s world calligraphy day – in grade school we had a semester of calligraphy class and I’ve kinda sorta kept up with it; I still know at least one hand and with a lot of effort can do something resembling illumination. Is calligraphy class still a thing? Do you know calligraphy? Let me know!

Running In My Head 
It was fun to learn! Apparently where I live now, they no longer teach it. My kids aren’t old enough for school yet, so I’m not sure. I think it is a necessary skill that should still be taught.

I don’t know that calligraphy is necessary (unlike cursive) but I would love if it were consistently offered as an elective.
Plus, fountain pens and their nibs are cool.
