OK, so its Sunday morning and I slept in for two hours then I got up, had breakfast, and did the dishes while listening to Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me and then my eyes stared hurting and I feel a headache coming on. I blame the Cybertruck I see whenever I look out my kitchen window.

This last week went by in a blur. It was Commencement Week at work, which meant I spent Monday-Wednesday in preparations, Thursday in rehearsal, and Friday doing my part to make sure the event itself went off smoothly as possible. In that regard, I hauled a lot of ice in coolers to various points around campus. I also recall saying I would talk more about last weekend, and since I never got around to it, I think now’s as good a time as any.

You won’t be reading this until Sunday at the earliest but for me it’s Saturday and it’s quite nice outside – the cool kind of morning that calls for jeans and a hoodie when the day before was shorts and t-shirts and so you sit outside and breathe in the air and take the birdsong into your very soul as you sip your coffee and think: today. today I exist; today will be good.
