Happy Freezer Pop Day! They go by many names, but regardless of what you call them, beat the heat with cool and refreshing classic flavors like strawberry, orange, and lemon-lime. (Sorry, I don’t like grape) Today is the perfect day to grab one from the freezer and chill out!
What’s your favorite flavor?
So, with last Thursday being the Fourth of July here in the US, and with my work currently closed on Fridays for our summer hours, I took Wednesday as a personal day for a kind of five-day mini vacation. As that comes to an end this evening let’s find a cool place to sit, pour ourselves a refreshing beverage, and chat about the week that seemed to go all to fast.

It’s Chocolate Day! There’s all kinds of chocolate: baking, semi-sweet, milk, dark, bittersweet – but while there is a time and place for white chocolate, it’s an imposter and does not belong on a list of chocolates. I like Left Twix and Kinder Schokolade; how about you?

It’s National Country Music Day: from Merle Haggard, Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, and Johnny Cash to Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, and the Chicks, to Kacey Musgraves and Niko Moon, rosin up that bow and play that golden fiddle with themes of love and love and loss and friends and drinks and revenge.
