I’ll be honest right up front: the last half of this last week has not been the best for me mentally. I’m okay, just understand that this post might not be as upbeat as normal. Then again, maybe it will be, and the writing of this post will be good for all of us. Anyway, I have pizza and chips and a ginger ale and Scooby Doo Meets Laurel and Hardy is playing on the TV so let’s sit down and chat a bit.

It’s National Garlic Day! Some folks love it, others hate it, most vampires were unavailable for comment (the Magpyrs of Überwald are making headway).
Garlic in recipes can (usually) be safely doubled (to start).

It has been approximately 25,550,000,000 days since the last velociraptor attack – excluding events in 1993 on Isla Nublar – but smart money says they’re playing the long game: the very, very, very long game.

It’s Bat Appreciation Day! Bees get all the buzz, but these nocturnal pollinators deserve some love too – they also keep insect populations in check!
