So, with last Thursday being the Fourth of July here in the US, and with my work currently closed on Fridays for our summer hours, I took Wednesday as a personal day for a kind of five-day mini vacation. As that comes to an end this evening let’s find a cool place to sit, pour ourselves a refreshing beverage, and chat about the week that seemed to go all to fast.

It’s Iced Tea Day! While I grew up drinking unsweetened tea, my taste changed immediately upon tasting southern sweet tea 😂 My wife says I make the best sweet tea and she’s not just being kind; others have said the same as well. I like my tea with lemon, or lemonade to make an Arnold Palmer, or even a splash of Coke! How do you like your iced tea day!
Gin Day
Cheers to World Gin Day! In my experience folks either love it or hate it, and for me, I love it. Whether you like it extra dry with a twist of lemon in a Gin & Tonic or infused with additional botanicals (like I do) in a classy cocktail like a Bee Knees (also a favorite), let’s raise a toast (responsibly)
World Cider Day
It’s World Cider Day. I once picked apples for an orchard to make cider; I don’t think I was very good at it, though. Nevertheless, whether you enjoy it hot or chilled, crisp and dry, sweet and fruity, or with a hint of spice, celebrate today by raising a glass of your favorite cider!
