It’s coffee day, and while I’ve cut my intake from two pots to two cups (usually) I still enjoy it immensely. I usually have Death Wish coffee on Mondays and Thursdays (days I typically need an extra boost) and Cafe Bustelo the rest of the week – both with the equivalent of two cream, two sugar.
It’s also goose day, so head on down to the river with some instant brew and cast it upon the waters for our feathered friends. On second thought, maybe that’s how we get geese with knives?
It’s both helium discovery day and bad poetry day, so of course I’ve written a poorly-done limerick on the discovery of helium:

Celebrate Your Lakes Day! Although observed locally in New Hampshire, there’s no law restricting you from celebrating your own lakes. Growing up, that was Lake Wallenpaupack, which you may remember from the Booze Cruise episode of “The Office” – what’s your lake?
Happy World Snake Day! Even if you’re not a fan, take a moment to appreciate their importance and consider learning something new about these fascinating, amazing reptiles. Every creature has its place in nature!
Even if that place is far away from me, thank you very much.
So, with last Thursday being the Fourth of July here in the US, and with my work currently closed on Fridays for our summer hours, I took Wednesday as a personal day for a kind of five-day mini vacation. As that comes to an end this evening let’s find a cool place to sit, pour ourselves a refreshing beverage, and chat about the week that seemed to go all to fast.

Happy Summer Solstice! It’s the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere, which means the sun is finally going to listen to our yelling and begin the long, slow walk up to its room, eventually providing us here in the northern hemisphere with the best season of all: Autumn. Summer can suck it!
