Thing are ramping up and it looks like I really won’t have a break until maybe next Monday after our first weekend run of The Laramie Project – even right now I’m taking a break from cleaning the kitchen and making a grocery list, but I’ll always make time for you. Here’s what’s going on:

It’s Sunday and the first tropical depression of the hurricane season is rolling through. I’ve got the blinds up and the doors open (the storm doors are closed) to watch the rain. I know I said I was going to write more here on the blog, but what with the state of, well, everything, I just didn’t have a whole lot to say that wouldn’t be incredibly depressing. But over the last week or so I was able to take a much needed break, meeting up with friends for what we’ve come to affectionately call CabinCon 2025.

Hello there! I’m back after what turned out to be a longer break than expected. I usually say “sorry for not posting” and I actually typed those words and then deleted them because to be honest I’m not sorry. I feel great after a break and now I’m ready to be back, and I won’t apologize for taking care of myself (and neither should you).
And so with that out of the way, let’s get caught up. It’s raining here right now and I’m in the recliner with a hot toddy, my favorite blanket, and a fireplace dvd. Make yourself comfortable; I did.

I’m still recovering from feeling sick this week, and I’ve spent the weekend alternating between small household chores and resting. It seems that I failed to post yesterday, so the pressure of keeping my streak alive is officially off. Whew.
I don’t think I’m contagious but why don’t we socially distance with our preferred beverages while we get caught up, eh?
