On Vulture Awareness Day, let’s show some appreciation for nature’s top cleaners. They might not be beauties, but they sure keep things tidy, and without them, the world would be a whole lot messier. Just keep an eye out especially if you see them circling over your head . . .

Spice Blend Day! Pumpkin spice has returned (I await Cauldron-Aged Pumpkin Death Wish Coffee), but I’m also thinking about my tweaked & perfected apple pie spice as well as a particular blend that’s found its way onto salmon & chicken and into tacos, hamburgers, & baked beans. What’s your spice blend of choice?
It’s Welsh Rarebit Day! Despite some pronunciations, there’s no rabbit in this dish – instead, it’s toast covered in a rich, savory beer cheese sauce (with various seasonings), making it a cheesy comfort food that deserves the same popularity as avocado toast. Now to see if I can make it . . .
It’s Labor Day and I have the day off. Twelfth Night has wrapped and the stage struck, and afterwards the cast partied into the very early morning hours. I’ve had coffee cand apple pie and some toast as the post-show recovery begins. I’m starting to watch fall-themed shows while doing some light housework that has piled up over the last three weeks thanks to rehearsals and shows. Maybe tomorrow I’ll be able to do some writing and catch you all up on what’s been going on?
