It’s world calligraphy day – in grade school we had a semester of calligraphy class and I’ve kinda sorta kept up with it; I still know at least one hand and with a lot of effort can do something resembling illumination. Is calligraphy class still a thing? Do you know calligraphy? Let me know!

Getting it in just in time for supper, it’s Julienne French Fry Day! I’m told this style of fry is synonymous with shoestring French fries, but I don’t see consistency in the pictures. So you can do like I did: get some fast food fries and say you’re celebrating!

For me, I love “the house with a clock in its walls” by John Bellairs. It was the first book that scared me but kept me reading. The movie adaptation isn’t bad, either
