You never know what they’ll say!
Despite what you may read on Facebook or on Twitter or what you may hear about in the news, most teachers considers theirs a most rewarding profession.
Just like any other occupation, there are good days, bad days, and days that make you tilt your head and say “What?!”
In this series, I’ll share with you those things that show my students have been paying attention, but perhaps not as keenly as one might hope.
Behold, the Classroom Ninja!
Me:
You see, class, I’m colorblind. That means I don’t see certain colors the way you do, and some colors I don’t see at all – they look white instead.
Student:
So if I cover myself in yellow hi-lighter, I’ll be invisible?
No, and for all our sakes, please don’t test that theory, either.
An Important Notice
As a teacher, I’m well aware of the need for my student’s privacy.
As such please be aware that
(a) I have permission to share.
(b) I will not divulge names.
If you know either me or my students in real life, refrain from guessing who said what.
Such comments will be deleted.
(c) I do not intend to belittle, malign, or disparage in any way.
This is intended to be along the lines of the old Art Linkletter program Kids Say the Darndest Things.
[But not the Cosby remake. Nobody wants to be like Cosby these days.]
Linkletter was hilarious – the best part was that he didn’t set kids up or entrap them into being goofy – (unlike so much on FB and YouTube today) He just let kids run the show and be kids
The first quality a teacher must have is a great sense of humor.

I’m kinda hoping he tries it. 🙂

I actually did have one try it one year, but only with their hand. They thought I’d think the lost their hand or something.

I am so going to love this series 🙂
I couldn’t help but laughing (was a little weird to have people staring at me ’cause I have been shopping in the city).
Things like this are really good to start a day. Smiling and laughing is making one feel a lot better after all 😉
If your student ever tries it, don’t forget to take a photograph 😉
