Lakeside Horror

Camping is fun. Camping with High School students is also fun. Playing pranks while camping can be fun, but not when you’re the one that has to deal with the aftermath. Thankfully, this year my group of students limited themselves to making scary sounds in the dark or waiting until someone was almost asleep and then jumping on their bed.

Then there’s always the kid who tries to prank the chaperone:

 

He hid just inside of the door –

his goal: to make me feel horror –

but his scream I ignored,

I just looked at him, bored,

While his jaw fell straight to the floor.
