Once again it’s time to crown Wicked Word Wednesday Winner.
I said when I posted this challenge that it might not be the best word choice. Perhaps the randomizer I use to pick the challenges knew something I didn’t, what with the rise of the Great Orange Leader (whose only resemblance to a lion is in color). Anyway, our Wicked Word was leonine.
leonine [\ˈlē-ə-ˌnīn\]
le·o·nine
adjective
of, relating to, suggestive of, or resembling a lion
And now, the winners!
In Second Place . . .
Suze
From the Old French word leonin ,
or from the Classical Latin leoninus,
regardless of it’s beginning
you, dear man, are its end
with your hair so long and gold
muscles rippling, growl emitting,
you are a lion among men.
And in First Place . . .
Pleasant Street
I always thought we would stay together. I got scared and ripped the Band-aid off quick. I love how you talk to me, the leonine way your taut muscles ripple on your back, the short hairs on the nape of your neck.
Congratulations winners, and don’t forget your nifty badges!
Come back this Wednesday for another Wicked Word
i swear, I am gonna get that first place badge! thanks so much though for the second place one……I have to hire someone to tie up Georgie Moon and put up a few road blocks at pleasant street to do it I think…….

Invite others to join, too – sometimes it helps to crowd the field 🙂
