Bob’s Burgers Review: Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weenie Yellow Polka-Dot Zucchini Burger

It’s a Sunday Morning day of the week, and that can only mean one thing: last night two weeks a few weeks ago on a Saturday, I made and ate a hamburger. Specifically, a burger featured on the hit series Bob’s BurgersBobsBurgers

The Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weenie Yellow Polka-Dot Zucchini Burger [S3:E3 “Bob Fires the Kids”]

About the Episode – When Bob receives a box of junk childhood memories from his days in his Dad’s burger place, he realizes his own kids are maybe – just maybe – spending too much time working the restaurant. So, he and Linda fire Louie, Gene, and Tina for the summer.

Bored, the kids soon find work picking “weeds” and delivering “blueberries”, all while trying to keep their jobs a secret from Bob and Linda.

About the Burger– This burger is topped with fried zucchini (which I’d never made before) and a dill & yellow pepper yogurt sauce. It was supposed to be served with sweet potato fries, which Krystal loves, but she had a taste for the rosemary and tomato orzo I made with a previous burger. I was pleased with the appearance of this burger – it looked just like the diagram in the book!

The Response

Krystal liked the burger, and was particularly pleased with the yogurt. She wanted more zucchini, though.

I liked the burger just fine, but realized I could have done a better job crisping up the zucchini.

Overall, we gave this burger

Come back next week, when we’ll try a new, as-yet-to-be-determined burger!
