Making Dopamine

Okay, we all know the last two weeks were hard. The next four years will be just as hard, if not harder. But we can’t burnt out or we’ll be useless both to ourselves and to each other, so I’m trying to find daily joys. Let’s take a look at some of those joys form the last week

Tuesday or Wednesday I was reminded that nine years ago I made a mock album cover featuring Smokey:

I also won a keychain that I’ll receive in about a month. Because of artist permissions and the like, I’ll need to wait until I get it to show you a picture.

Thursday I saw a Pusheen comic that made me smile:

Friday I saw a student smile wide when I was able to help them.

I had a lot of people want to talk to me while I was grocery shopping. Usually this would exhaust my social battery, but after the last two weeks having folks recognize my existence in a positive way was actually refreshing.

When I went home I was able to go through all 8 traffic lights (yes, legally, lol)

Rabbitology dropped a new (and their first) EP!

On Saturday I went for a two-mile walk, folks checked in on how I was doing, I found a shirt I liked on sale, and we went out to dinner at a hibachi place.

I’ve also been getting some daily affirmations/inspirations. They’ve been hit or miss.

I’ve been calling my congressmen regarding the rollback on trans rights and the takeover of the day-to-day operations of the US government by Elon Musk; their DC voicemails are full, so hopefully that means others are calling, too.

What have you been up to?
