A View of My Classroom at Christmas

My classes helped decorate my classroom: they made the snowflakes and donated the tree, I provided the poinsettias and the lights. I put up a fireplace on the overhead and turned on Pandora’s Classical Christmas station. It made everyone happy 🙂

Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, 2016

Yesterday was the 75th anniversary of the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor, an event which brought the United States into World War II. One of the men serving at Pearl on that day was my friend and “adopted grandfather” Chief (ret) Tom Poole, stationed on the North Carolina.
