Wicked Word Wednesday: Aflame [Take 2]

Due to miscommunication and popular request, we’re repeating the last Wicked Word Wednesday challenge! I’m super excited, because it features one of my favorite themes: autumn.

My pen is alight and my body aflame. Until both burn down to ash, my love and my hate will remain here in the world.
– Ba Jin

  1. Here’s my entry…..

    AFLAME

    Aflame is a peculiar word
The like of which I’ve never heard
It can mean red or gold
    Or so I’ve been told
    It really is very absurd!

This season the leaves will turn gold
And red, which is strikingly bold
    And what a great shame
    When the leaves are aflame
That the weather becomes very cold…
