So apparently I’ve missed a few Saturday coffees. I wish I had some amazing tale to tell, like I won an amazing holiday, but the long and short of it is: I got sick.
The flu has rampaged through our school, and last week we shut down it got so bad.
I thought I was safe, but no luck. I ran a 5k on Saturday, came home, and crashed. I spent the next 48 hours drinking NyQuil and trying to keep hydrated. On the plus side, I didn’t even notice the time change.
I finally kicked it early this week, only to have the sinus bug hit. After teaching all day, it felt like I was trying to swallow a melon. So, I just haven’t felt up to writing anything.
Something interesting did happen last week when Krystal ordered some TV series on DVD in her sleep. But I suppose that’s her story.
What have you been up to this week?
We’re sick too. It’s good to see you back. When I was catching up yesterday I saw you hadn’t been here in awhile and I was concerned

I guess your ginger ale did the trick. Glad you are on the mend.

Hope you are able to get some rest and not revisited by the flu. It seems especially bad this year – and takes a long time to get well….especially if you are anywhere around school kids. (Teachers acquire a strong immune system, but Feb seems to be when they get taken down by whatever is going around – you can just take so much!)
We are in one of the heaviest pollen season in memory – if it’s not the flu, it’s sinus/ear infections…difficult to avoid trees.
Oranges. Apple a day and protein.Get well soon! (It’s too difficult to be absent and deal with substitutes)
