Bob’s Burgers Review: Poutine on the Ritz

It’s Sunday Morning, and that can only mean one thing: last night, I made and ate a hamburger. Specifically, a burger featured on the hit series Bob’s BurgersBobsBurgers

Poutine on the Ritz Burger [S2:E9 “Beefsquatch”]

About the Episode – When Bob lands a cooking segment on the morning news show, Linda worries that fame will tear the family apart. Gene acquires a Sasquatch mask and transforms his persona to “Beefsquatch.” When the two egos collide, ratings go through the roof! But, can the Belchers survive?

About the Burger – This burger is topped with cheese curds, homemade brown gravy, and crumbled Ritz Townhouse crackers. Yes, they’re supposed to be Ritz crackers, but Ritz crackers contain palm oil – also known as coconut oil. Confounded allergies. The burger comes with a side of fries seasoned with paprika, cayenne pepper, and black pepper covered in cheese curds and brown gravy.

The Response

Though I followed the recipe exactly, the fries were way too spicy to eat, and we love spicy food. It was almost like eating the spice straight from the jar. Kind of sad, in a way, but it gave us an excuse to run out for milkshakes – I had an Oreo mint and Krystal an orange push-up.

We both really liked the burger; everything was just right with perfectly balanced tastes and textures.

Overall, we gave this burger

4.5 Stars

Come back next week, when we’ll try a new, as-yet-to-be-determined burger!

  1. Hello ,

I saw your tweet about animals and thought I will check your website. I like it!

I love pets. I have two beautiful thai cats called Tammy(female) and Yommo(male). Yommo is 1 year older than Tommy. He acts like a bigger brother for her. 🙂
I have even created an Instagram account for them ( https://www.instagram.com/tayo_home/ ) and probably soon they will have more followers than me (kinda funny).

I have subscribed to your newsletter. 🙂

Keep up the good work on your blog.

    Regards
