Bob’s Burgers Review: Onion Ring Around The Rosemary

It’s Sunday Morning, and that can only mean one thing: last night, I made and ate a hamburger. Specifically, a burger featured on the hit series Bob’s BurgersBobsBurgers

Onion Ring Around The Rosemary Burger [S4:E19 “The Kids Run Away”]

About the Episode

When Louise needs a cavity filled, she runs away rather than face the drill. Bob & Linda find her at Linda’s sister Gayle’s apartment and make a bet: if Louise can last the whole weekend with Gayle and her cats and her eccentricities, then she doesn’t get the filling. It is she cracks, Louise gets the “drillin and the fillin” (as Linda says). Game On.

About the Burger

This burger was mixed with finely diced red apple and marjoram and topped with a thick slice of cheddar cheese and homemade rosemary-seasoned onion rings.

I’d avoided this burger because I’d never fried anything in oil before and usually my body doesn’t much care for onions, though my tastebuds love them. However, I was in the mood for a challenge and took it on.

The Response

This burger was worth the effort. The flavors and textures worked well together, and by using a sweet Vidalia onion, my intestinal discomfort was practically zero.

For my first effort at frying anything, Krystal said I did a good job, though both of us agreed I could probably have left most of the rings in a little longer. Still, everything was cooked and edible.

We have his burger

Come back next week, when we’ll try a new, as-yet-to-be-determined burger!
