Bob’s Burgers Review: Shut Up And Swiss Me

It’s Sunday morning, and that can only mean one thing: last night, I made and ate a hamburger. Specifically, a burger featured on the hit series Bob’s Burgers

Shut Up and Swiss Me Burger [S8:E8 “V for Valentine-detta”]

About the Episode

When Jimmy Jr. breaks Tina’s heart, Linda tries to cheer her up with a girls night out on Valentines Day, leaving Bob and Gene to use a “Kissing Koupon” for a night of trapeze. Hijinks ensue.

About the Burger

While many of the other burgers I’ve made before have come from the Bob’s Burgers Cookbook, this was a recipe of my own invention.

I used this recipe for garlicky Swiss chard.

I felt this burger would benefit from a variety of cheeses. In this case I already had some Jarlsberg from a previous recipe and settled on an Appenzeller at our local market. Any kind of Swiss cheese would work, so use what you like.

I grated about a half cup of each and tossed well to mix.

The Response

We liked this burger, though I did send a wave of pepper smoke through the house while sautéing my chard. Be careful!

The flavors and textures worked really well for us, and we gave the burger

4 Stars

Due to our convention schedule, I won’t be cooking another Bob’s Burgers burger for at least two weeks. But never fear! When I return, we’ll try a new, as-yet-to-be-determined burger!
