Are these getting old yet? I’m sorry for inundating you with these posts. And I’m sorry for that awful, possibly poor-in-taste pun. Oh, who am I kidding. No I’m not.
So, what’s new since I last talked to you?
Well, we had a friend go by our apartment complex and things look fine, though they couldn’t actually drive down to our specific building.
It’s been confirmed that our old neighborhood is pretty much gone unless the houses were raised significantly. Most weren’t.
Two of our friends who thought their homes would be gone only have minor damage, comparatively.
Our county is shut off from the rest of the world, with all roads into and out of the county closed due to flooding. It will only get worse over the next few days.
School has been cancelled for the next week.
Apart from a two-block area, my Saturday running route is officially a disaster area.
