Coronavirus Quarantine: Day 48

This week went by in a flash.

In addition to teaching, finished reading Imperfect Union and both started and finished The Last Emperox and Magpie Murders.

I cooked a pork loin this week. This may surprise some since Iโ€™m not a huge fan of pork. But it turned out to be very, very delicious.

โ€œSo good!โ€ says Krystal

Iโ€™ve finally improved on cooking rice, making onion-and-pepped rice which Krystal enjoyed. And she really likes rice, so I know itโ€™s good.

Weโ€™ve gotten around to finally putting some of our art on the wall. Of course, that also means weโ€™ve ordered more from our favorite artists. Iโ€™ll share those pieces when they come in. This week, a piece destined for our kitchen came in:

โ€œMay All Your Bacon Burnโ€

They also sent us a cute dragon sticker and a lovely card!

Iโ€™ve also had fun online, finding these fun โ€œquaramemesโ€

Who are you?
@foxigesis

A friend asked me to describe my pandemic experience with book titles found in my home:

What titles would you choose?

Of course, I then organized my main bookshelf.

The black box is covering yearbooks. โ€œIdentify Theft is not a joke, Jimโ€œ and all that.

I won some toilet paper playing trivia with some podcast hosts

I watched another Star Wars film for the first time, The Last Jedi. I tweeted my reactions.

This week I was described as

the sarcastic voice of morality sounding like Tom Servo

This may be one of the best compliments I have ever received.

Finally, those of you whoโ€™ve read Stories in the End might recall a certain car in many of the pictures at the end of the book.

I reached out to a car buff on Twitter and heโ€™s come back with some identification!

โ€œHad to do a double-take on this one. It’s a 1939 Mercury 4 door sedan, but headlight bezels are from a 1940 Mercury or Ford.โ€
