You got a gold star! Cool!
Sometimes you don’t get those until they are freshmen in college and suddenly appear at your door and thank you and say “I only made it through this class or that because of what you taught me.” A rare event, but probably more of them think it to themselves than reappear in front of you.
You give them presents all year long. Thanks for that.
