Janus Looking Forward (2020)

Yesterday I posted about the last decade. Today, let’s talk about the coming year.

I’ve never really been one for resolutions, but I do have some goals.

  • Run
  • Read
  • Write
  • Cook

I want to run a 3:30 marathon. This is likely the fastest I will ever be able to run 26.2 miles, and I’m not getting any younger.

Even getting up this morning to run walk three miles was a challenge.

Will this be the year? Who knows?? But I’ll keep trying.

My Goodreads goal for the year is 52 books. We’ll see how that goes. I’m already working on the stack in my living room.

After releasing Stories in the End, some folks have asked if I’m writing another book. There’s one in the works, but it’s not about Mr Tom. Right now it’s in the research phase, but I think I can start drafting certain parts.

And of course, I want to try new recipes. Even yesterday I tried a new one: crab macaroni gratin. I used imitation crab because I wasn’t about to pay $20 for 12 ounces of real crab. The recipe turned out good nonetheless.

Do you have any goals for 2020?

  1. My 2020 goals are to try new things out of my comfort zone, such as learning new crafts (sewing) and also trying new (healthy) recipes. That crab macaroni gratin looked pretty good! I love to eat!
