The calendar shows September 23 and marks the Autumnal Equinox, which means it is now officially

Herbst
I love Autumn; I suppose that’s why I’ve been in such a good mood today.
So, to celebrate the start of the best season ever, here’s some reasons I adore the Fall.
Cool Weather for Running
Apples, Apple Orchards, and Apple Pie
Perfect Temperatures for Jeans and T-Shirts
Thanksgiving
Deer Hunting
Reformation Day
Softball
Pumpkins
Leaf Piles
Bonfires

Autumn is my favorite season, too! Fire in the fire pit, exercise isn’t a chore anymore. By the way, any advice for a former runner trying to start up again? It’s been about 5 years. Running in my head is about all I’ve been able to manage! I do walk every day so I’m not totally pathetic! 🙂

I enjoy turning off the air conditioning and having the windows open. Sleeping at night to the sound of the night coming in the window.
Great list you have. Thanks for sharing.

My absolute favorite time of year! When the weather finally turns cool enough for jogging or hiking, the Octoberfest craft beers come back, football season, the outside smell of leaves and crisp air that sticks to you when you walk inside, and on and on… 🙂

Apple cider, pumpkin pie, boots, leaves changing colour

Your photo makes me want to walk in the leaves. What I like about fall is the near perfect temperatures, windows open, and cotton clothes being enough without a jacket.

Football and everything that comes with it — more friends hanging out at our place, lots of cooking (especially dips and desserts), and friendly rivalry. I also love making soup but just can’t bring myself to do it in the heat of summer. And I love pumpkin, apple, spices, maple, squashes, and all the flavors of fall! And then there’s that feeling of waking up to crisp, cool morning air! Ah, fall is absolutely the best.
